From September 15 to 20th 2024, students from the Narva Adult School—Angelina Pallo, Nadezhda Dedimova and Olga Skachkova—along with their teachers Alla Butkevich, Maria Lauren and Ksenia Kaleis, had the opportunity to visit the city of Izmir, Turkey, as part of the international Erasmus+ ELITE project.
Our journey began with the introductory session, participants shared insightful presentations on the themes of ecology and eco-organization in their respective countries. Later, we gathered at the office of our partner organization, where engaging icebreaker games helped us forge closer connections among participants. During the trip we travelled to Selçuk, where we visited an eco-farm and had the unique experience of planting broccoli. Also we worked in mixed groups to create brochures, interview participants, and develop our project’s pages on Instagram and Facebook. Moreover, we visited the Zero Carbon Point, where we attended a lecture focused on climate change. Our last day featured a concluding ceremony during which we were awarded certificates of collaboration.
Overall, our visit to Izmir as part of the Erasmus+ ELITE project was an unforgettable experience filled with learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
